The Challenge
Running a business today means depending on IT systems that simply cannot afford to stop.
But for many businesses that have grown over time, the server
infrastructure has followed the same pattern as the business itself: added
piece by piece, as needed, without a unifying vision. One physical machine per
service, each with its own maintenance cycle, its own failure risks, and its
own cost.
The result is an infrastructure that is rigid, expensive, and
increasingly difficult to manage as the business evolves.
The main challenges include:
High hardware costs — each service requires a dedicated physical machine
No flexibility — adding or modifying a service means buying and configuring new equipment
Fragility — a single hardware failure can take down a critical business service
Difficult management — multiple machines mean multiple points of maintenance, update, and failure
Wasted resources — physical servers often run at a fraction of their actual capacity
The Solution
Our Smart IT Virtualization service designs and implements this infrastructure on-site, at your premises or in a datacenter, using open-source enterprise-grade platforms.
The result: more flexibility, lower costs, and an IT infrastructure that grows with your business — without having to replace hardware every time.
1
Infrastructure assessment
We start by mapping what you currently have: physical servers, services
running, usage levels, and business continuity requirements. This gives us a
clear picture of what can be consolidated, what needs to be separated, and what
the right architecture looks like for your specific situation.
2
Architecture design and platform selection
We design the virtual infrastructure around your real needs — number of
virtual machines, network segmentation, storage, backup strategy. We work with
Proxmox PVE and software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, chosen for their
reliability, flexibility, and the fact that they don't come with expensive
licensing costs.
3
Migration and deployment
We migrate your existing services to the new virtual environment with
minimal disruption. Each service runs in its own isolated environment — meaning
a problem in one virtual machine never affects the others. Where needed, we set
up high-availability configurations so that if a component fails, the system
switches over automatically.
4
Monitoring, documentation and handover
Once the virtual infrastructure is live, we configure centralized
monitoring so you have full visibility over the health and performance of every
system. Everything is documented: architecture diagrams, virtual machine
inventory, backup procedures. You stay in control — even as your infrastructure
grows.
Technology Stack
Proxmox VE
Open-source enterprise virtualization platform — powerful, stable, and
free from proprietary licensing costs. Manages virtual machines and containers
from a single web interface.
SDN — Software Defined Networking
Virtual network management that allows defining, segmenting, and
controlling the network entirely via software — with no need to physically
reconfigure switches or cabling every time something changes.
On-site & Datacenter Deployment
We design and implement virtual infrastructures both at your premises
and in third-party datacenters — or a hybrid of both — depending on your
availability, security, and budget requirements.Key Benefits
Do more
with less
Multiple systems share the same physical hardware, each using only the resources it actually needs.
When your business grows, you add capacity in minutes — not weeks, and not with a new procurement order. Your infrastructure adapts to your business, not the other way around.
Security and isolation between environments
Each virtual machine runs in a completely isolated environment.
A problem — whether a cyberattack, a software error, or a misconfiguration — stays contained within that environment and cannot spread to the rest of your infrastructure.
Everything
under control
All virtual machines, networks, and storage are managed from a single interface — with full visibility over the health and performance of every system. .
And if something fails, virtual machines can be restored in minutes, or automatically if high availability is configured. Your business doesn't stop because a machine breaks.
